The invention relates to metallurgy.

A method of processing aluminosilicate materials containing impurities of titanium, iron, potassium compounds into alumina, including grinding it, leaching with a recirculating solution containing 49-59% free sulfuric acid, at elevated temperature, separating the solid residue from the obtained sulfate solution, processing the sulfate leaching product concentrated solution of hydrochloric acid with the addition of hydrogen chloride to precipitate aluminum chloride hexahydrate, washing and calcining it, characterized in that, in order to increase the degree of purification from impurities in the processing of materials with a high content of titanium and iron, leaching is carried out with the addition of 6-8% ammonium sulfate, and crystals subjected to preliminary separation from the sulfate solution and subjected to washing are subjected to treatment.
